Basic Requirements
- A master’s degree awarded by universities recognized by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education is required. Please refer to each school’s requirement for other eligibility criteria.
- Master’s degree in biology, medicine, pharmacy or biomedical engineering-related fields are preferred.

Documents Required
- Please complete the online application at: http://ioadmission.tmu.edu.tw/
- A 2-inch identification photo (including face and shoulders, with no hat) taken within the previous two months.
- One copy of applicant’s passport【other documents for alien identification, please refer to http://edu.law.moe.gov.tw/EngLawContent.aspx?Type=E&id=210 】
※ If applicable, TMU may ask the applicant to provide a photocopy of the Forfeited Nationality Permit Certificate issued by the Ministry of the Interior, the Certificate of Entry and Exit Dates issued by National Immigration Agency, or other official certificates. - One photocopy of applicant’s diploma or certification of highest-level of academic attainment and transcripts .
- One copy of valid proof of English proficiency, such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, or other official test. Applicants who have had at least four-year formal education in English-spoken country do not need to submit English proficiency proof.
- Two letters of recommendation in English or Chinese via online system by two independent evaluators.
- Statement of purpose written in English.
- Resume written in English.
- Supporting materials (if applicable), such as curriculum vitae, academic examination (GRE, GMAT, Chinese Proficiency Test, etc.) score, proof of clinical training or professional licenses, publications or awards (all supporting materials should be translated into English or Chinese).
- Two letters of recommendation in English or Chinese via online system by two independent evaluators.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
